About the cabin
A recently renovated, tranquil log cabin on 10 private acres within a small homeowners association, down a ¼-mile maintained dirt road in Hyde Park, Vermont. Steps from the 93-mile Lamoille Valley Rail Trail, with mountain and river views from the wrap-around deck. The primary bedroom has a king and a single bed, the second bedroom a queen, the third a double, and the fourth two singles — comfortable for a big family or two families traveling together.
Amenities
- The wood stove is decorative only — please don't use it.
- Well water occasionally has a mild sulfur smell; bottled water is reccomended.
- Interior stairs are steep with a rope handrail.
- Parking is about 50 yards from the cabin, down 16 lit steps.
- Not wheelchair accessible.
- 4x4 or AWD strongly recommended in winter — no garage access for guests.
Rates & policies
Nightly rate
$249 weekday (Sun–Thu) · $289 weekend (Fri–Sat). Peak-season dates may run higher.
Fees
$350 cleaning fee per stay. Pets welcome, up to 2, no extra fee.
Stay length
2-night minimum. Book at least 2 days ahead.
Payment
50% deposit due at booking, remaining balance automatically charged 5 days before check-in.
Cancellation
Full refund if canceled 5+ days before check-in. 50% refund if canceled within 5 days of check-in.
Check-in / check-out
Check-in 3:00 PM, check-out 11:00 AM. Self check-in with a smart lock — no need to meet anyone.
